It is the end of Feb. already and I have to start really getting down to training for my next 1/2 marathon the end of April. Snow is still an issue. I've been doing a lot of strength training and cardio in the gym. Running outside when the weather allows. Getting just a little nervous about the time.
In the mean time I am tweaking the diet and doing anything else I can think of. I'm sure by next weekend the snow will all be gone and it will be warmer. right? Can't wait to start the training runs outside! So much fun to push myself as much as I can.
I run by myself. None of my friends run. I report into my daughter the runner of the family. She lives in Texas and we will meet up in Nashville for the race in April. She runs a lot faster but always keeps a smile on her face and runs my pace when with me.
I love to run (my pace - 10 minute miles) along the bike trail. 4 mile runs are my favorite just for fun runs. It is beautiful all times of the year on the trail - goes down through the bottoms and is tree lined - just beautiful! Then there are the hills in the local park I enjoy. I'll need a lot of hill running to be ready for Nashville.
Hope all are enjoying themselves as they run. That is what it is all about!
